Volume II contains articles on Native Americans, African Americans, Revolutionary War Veterans, the Civil War and Reconstruction Periods, the remainder of the 19th and 20th centuries, and general articles of all sorts.
Unique features include long lists of families with Toe River Valley genealogical connections in other North Carolina Heritage Volumes and extensive editorial notes in many of the articles.
Included is a long section (48 installments) of the scarce articles entitled “People I Meet” which were written in the 1950’s by Arthelia (“Tillie”) Brooks for the newspaper entitled Toe Valley View.
